My Poetry

My Words

I wish that my words were
          a goblet of wine.
     Your eyes would then be
          as ruby lips,
     Taking in each passionate drop
          of nectar,

     Filling your mind,
     Inciting your heart,
     Firing your blood,

Until, as I produced the words,
          and you consumed them,
     We were intoxicated by desire,
          and desire was fulfilled.
